Video Chat lessons
Video chat lessons are a unique option that we offer for clients that are far away or prefer it for any reason. In video chat lessons we are able to go over things such as
-Dog psychology and how to understand their behavior through their energy and body language
-How dogs learn
-How to communicate with them clearly and consistently to get fast and lasting results
-What a cue, marker, and release word is and why they're so important
-Puppy through advanced levels of obedience and tricks
-Unwanted behaviors like jumping, barking, chewing, chasing animals, begging for food
-Potty and crate training
-How to socialize dogs well to raise a balanced and neutral dog (not overly dominate or submissive)
Obedience Commands
-The Settle (How to teach your dog how to relax on cue. Our favorite!! Stops over excitement, anxiety, jumping, barking, frustration, etc.)
-Look (Eye contact which is great for getting and keeping their attention)
-Name recognition (Teaching them their name)
-Sit (Sitting)
-Down (Lay down which helps with relaxing)
-Off (Getting off of things such as the couch or counter)
-Recall (Come when called)
-Recall with high distraction (Calling them away from people, dogs, etc)
-Loose Leash Walking (Not pulling. We will also learn about training equipment and how to use it.)
-Heeling (More advanced walking where they are right by your side)
-Leave it (Leaving distracting or harmful things like a snake on the ground, dead animal, medication you dropped, or even dogs and people that they are overexcited about)
-Drop it (Dropping things out of their mouth)
-Bungee Stay (Leaving them and coming back)
-Out of Sight Stay (An advanced stay where you are able to leave their sight with them still staying. This helps with separation anxiety)
-Place (A boundary stay where they go to their bed or a designated area and stay until you release them. Good if they get excited when people come over or beg at the table)

Specialty Training
All training is a bonding experience and both fun for you and your dog, but specialty training takes things to the next level! Specialty training is successful when you have a solid and strong foundation of obedience with your dog so that they listen to your every signal. It is rewarding in many ways! You connect with your dog on a deeper level than ever but. it can also completely change your life for the better by offering life saving behaviors like service dog work and protection. It is good for dogs and owners mental and physical health to get active together and have fun.
-Tricks and games (Shake, high five, play dead, roll over, spin, speak, fetch an object, sit pretty, crawl, etc.)
-Service Dog Tasks (Advanced levels of obedience, trained retrieve of items, opening and closing doors and cabinets, helping you take things off like socks or a jacket, turning off light switches, pulling a wheelchair, etc.)
-Therapy work (Dog Training Elite Austin therapy dogs are highly trained to have a positive impact on the health and well being of both individuals and the community. Therapy dog training allows dogs to go into facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, group homes, and many other community health settings. They can work alongside community volunteers, psychologists, physical therapists, guidance counselors, and recreational therapists to improve the quality of life in varying communities and facilities.
-Canine Good Citizen Certificate training (The CGC certificate was created by the AKC (American Kennel Club) and is obtained by your dog passing a test of different obedience commands, being able to be social with humans and other dogs, and not having separation anxiety. Having the certificate comes with many benefits for example; If you are somewhere where there are breed restrictions they will wave the restriction for your dog if it has its CGC, Hotels will wave the pet fee, sometimes apartments will wave the pet deposit, and it is the next step before things like therapy and service work)
-Agility (A fun sport for active dogs, competing is an option)
-Nose work (An awesome game where you use your dogs natural instincts to sniff out certain things such as a specific essential oil scent which can be on a rag and hidden in different areas of the house)
-Tracking (Your dog is tracking a specific trail on the ground. This is usually done outside and commonly used for hunting.
-Search and Rescue (Similar to tracking but there is also extra training involved to teach the dog how to alert you that it found someone and even be able to do things like drag them out of water.)
